Drizzle It On

Hmmm…Sometimes I just want great wings. It does not have to be fancy, but each bite has to be loaded with flavor. These wings are fried, drizzled with cool ranch dressing, hot sauce, and garnished with parsley. Then on the side are crispy green celery sticks for extra crunch and dipping. This taste of heaven can be eaten as an appetizer IF, you feel like sharing or as a personal entrée. I promise its finger lickin’ good. All your missing is an ice cold beer and a NFL game.

Sizzling Hot

Imagine a sizzling hot cast iron skillet coming to your table filled will tender strips of steak, shrimp, grilled chicken, green and red peppers, and onions. On the side are refried beans, Spanish rice, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, guacamole, onion, and warm tortillas. This taste of heaven comes from a Mexican restaurant called Los Reyes. When you enter this establishment, you will be blown away by the Mexican mural that surrounds the entire restaurant. The atmosphere is breathtaking and a wonderful experience. If you want a combo of art and delicious Mexican food, then this is the place to visit.

Three Is Company

 It’s crunchy and lightly fried to perfection. This is an appetizer with alligator, calamari, shrimp and crawfish fondeaux. This trio appetizer is a great way to start off any meal. What’s so special about this dish is the appearance of the alligator. Many people have not tried the succulent flavor of alligator and wouldn’t think to order it either. I have to admit I was a little weary at first, but it was worth the experience. I enjoyed the burst of flavors and the overall presentation.

Health Bug

A healthy dinner is always refreshing and great for any occasion. This taste of heaven is from Henry’s Louisiana Grill. Picture grilled salmon over a bed of mixed greens with spiced walnuts, sun-dried cranberries, Parmesan cheese, and complimented with the Chef’s signature Honey Dijon dressing. Not only is this salad amazing, but the atmosphere of the restaurant makes any customer feel like they are in Louisiana. The owner of Henry’s Louisiana Grill personally greets each customer that enters his establishment, and he was recently featured on 11 Alive Unique Eats. Congratulations.

Party Deluxe

If you want a lunch sandwich, then a chicken deluxe is the perfect choice. This taste of heaven is a fried juicy white chicken breast with crispy lettuce, tomato, Swiss cheese, bacon, and a secret dressing on wheat bread. Then on the side is crinkle French fries. If you want to get fancy you can add a pickle to your lunch as well. This dish is simple to create at home and it does not require a lot of time to make. It’s a party in your mouth once you take the first bite.

A Dollop of Deliciousness

If you want a dish that is common and delicious, then steak and taters is the way to go. This taste of heaven is sirloin steak, grilled to perfection, with garlic mashed potatoes and spring string beans. A dollop of garlic butter tops the classic sirloin that is cooked medium rare. Then the juices and flavors tie everything together. All you’re missing is a glass of red wine. This dish is filling and cooked with an excellence you will enjoy. I give it an A+.

Southern Favorite

A plate of smothered fried chicken, white rice, gravy, collard greens, macaroni & cheese, and cornbread. This taste of heaven is a southern favorite from Gladys and Ron’s Chicken & Waffles. The little restaurant is a late night hotspot where you can get classic southern food in Atlanta. They are always packed, so there may be a little wait. However, once you’re seated, it’s time to enjoy their signature soul food. Gladys and Ron’s Chicken & Waffles is a well known restaurant and the photographs on the walls prove this.

Edible Sleeping Pill

A round of applause for the Creamy Alfredo Potato. Broccoli, cheese, Alfredo sauce, chicken, and bacon bits compacted into a baked potato. All you’re missing is a glass of wine. This taste of heaven will have you speechless. It’s hardy and flavorful with every bite. With this dish, you must come with a big appetite. I only know one other person that has been able to eat the whole thing. It’s like an “edible sleeping pill” because once you eat it, you’re guaranteed to be knocked out afterwards.

Crab Boil

Crab legs, corn on the cob, red potatoes, and kielbasa. It’s easy to do your own crab boil at home. All you need is Old Bay seasoning, beer, garlic, onion, and spices in the bag. This dish goes great with a loaded baked potato, cole slaw, shrimp, garlic bread, salad, and other seasonal vegetables. If you want to get fancy, then you can have lobster and garlic butter as well. This taste of heaven is great for New Years or any other special occasion. Yum Yum.

Twisted Burger

Picture a combination of grilled onions, American cheese, lettuce, bacon, and a secret dressing on a juicy turkey burger. This taste of heaven is complimented with pickles and creamy fried corn. The veggie of the day is cooked with red peppers, green peppers, and bacon. Sweet, hickory, and spicy are a few of the many flavors throughout this dish. This meal is a great twist on a burger. It’s not your ordinary beef burger with French fries, but it’s fairly easy to make at home as well. I think you will enjoy it.

Pure Elegance

Can we please have a moment of silence for The Big Bay Platter? All I can say is… grilled shrimp, Caribbean lobster tail, shrimp montage, fresh green beans, and mashed potatoes. This is “A Taste of Heaven.” The presentation is phenomenal, and the colors really pop on the white dish. It really tastes as good as it looks. I recommend this to anyone that has a true love for seafood.

Juniper

Looking for a great place to have brunch? Joe’s on Juniper is a midtown tavern that has a variety of foods. This taste of heaven is French toast with strawberries and whipped cream. The fluffy, light, and sweet Hawaiian bread is delicious and worth the trip. This dish actually comes with combo of blueberries and strawberries, it just depends on your preference. This hotspot not only has fun food, but its atmosphere is sporty and chill as well.

Homemade

If you ever want to dine at home, then this is a great meal to make. This taste of heaven is turkey meat loaf with brown gravy, red mashed potatoes with bacon bits & cheese, and asparagus with almonds. From the caramelized almonds to the brown gravy, this meal is a home favorite. It’s a hardy dish that will fill your appetite. It’s a guarantee that you will not be eating dessert tonight, so bring a big appetite and enjoy.

Delicious Bites

After a great meal, people look forward to having dessert. This slice of cheesecake comes from a restaurant called the Sun Dial. It’s plated on a white saucer with chocolate drizzles, whipped cream, fresh strawberries, and a leaf of mint. These flavors literally melt in your mouth. It’s a dessert that can be shared with another; however, if you’ve saved room for each delicious bite, then keeps it to yourself.

Hardy Chowder

Hmmmm…it’s creamy, cheesy, and smooth with each bite. If it’s cold outside and you’re dinning out, you can order a bowl of New England clam chowder. Usually it’s served with crackers or warm rolls. However, the famous soup consists of potatoes, clams, onions, and spices. It’s a thick, but creamy consistency that will have your mouth watering for more. This soup goes great with a salad or a light entree from the menu. You will love this classic.

Quick Lunch

If you want a quick lunch, then Chili’s is a perfect place for finger food. This appetizer consists of hot wings, southwestern rolls, fresh celery, and spinach & artichoke dip. The southwestern rolls have a spicy kick that can be cooled down with the western ranch sauce they provide. Then the dip goes great with the warm, colorful tortilla chips. The wings can be changed upon preference and they can be bone in or bone out. Overall, these finger treats are great for a quick lunch or a special occasion.

A Romantic Treat

Birthday, Anniversary, Graduation, or a just a romantic treat. Imagine chocolate covered strawberries being delivered on that special day. These delicious treats are from Edible Arrangements. This is company dedicated to delivering fresh fruit arrangements on any special occasion. Their desserts go great with Moscato, and they create lasting moments. If you ever want to surprise someone, then this is the perfect company to call.

Food for the Soul

There are many restaurants that offer different styles of food. However, southern style cooking has always had a special place in my heart. The Beautiful is a little hole in the wall that provides a variety of southern food. Collard greens, fried chicken, macaroni & cheese, dressing, cornbread, cranberry sauce, and broccoli & cheese casserole. Every time I visit this restaurant, I feel like I am at Grandma’s house. If you want to take a soulful journey home, then The Beautiful is the place to be.

L. Georges

Different places are known for different things. In the Motor City, Coney Island is their signature. Some locations are 24hours, and they offer a wide variety of food. This taste of heaven is called Greek Grilled Chicken Salad. This healthy salad consists of beets, cucumbers, feta cheese crumbs, banana peppers, tomatoes, grilled chicken, and creamy Italian dressing. And on the side, is slices of warm, fluffy pita bread. This serving is enough for two and its worth your bucks. It will definitely tickle your taste buds.

Fun & Games

If you want to mix fun and games, then Dave & Busters is a great place for dining. They have lots of finger foods, pastas, sandwiches, and drinks. This taste of heaven is called Blackened Chicken Pasta. It’s a combination of Cajun Alfredo sauce, tomatoes, mushrooms, and blackened chicken over a bed of linguine. It’s a filling and flavorful dish to choose off the menu. Then afterwards, you can enjoy their large arcade. Have Fun!

A Mardi Gras Experience

New Orleans is a great place for food, fun, and partying. However, they are mostly known for their Cajun style of food. A popular dish of New Orleans is the Shrimp Po’ boy. This well known sandwich is made with French bread, lettuce, tomato, and lots of juicy fried shrimp. Although the Po’ boy seems simple, it is considered a classic in the state of Louisiana. It’s a “must have” if you ever take a trip to the Cajun City.
